The best offshore accounting firms for US CPA firms in 2026 are MYCPE ONE, QX Accounting Services and CapActix, based on our scoring of 10 providers against six weighted criteria. MYCPE ONE (formerly Entigrity) leads because it is the only firm here that publishes both an hourly rate ($11 to start) and a SOC 2 Type II claim, backed by more than 3,000 staff across Ahmedabad, Vadodara and Mumbai. QX Accounting Services follows with SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001 and a built-in four-eyed review, but no public prices. CapActix rounds out the top three with ISO 27001:2022, SOC 2 Type II and a free trial, though its bench is small at about 120 people.
We built this ranking for partners and practice managers comparing dedicated offshore tax preparers, bookkeepers and staff accountants. Nine of the ten firms deliver from India; TOA Global is included as the Philippines alternative. Each entry lists what the firm claims, where its own pages disagree, and one question to ask before you sign.
Which offshore accounting firms are best for CPA firms?
MYCPE ONE, QX Accounting Services and CapActix score highest overall, but the right pick depends on whether you value price transparency, a managed review layer or a trial period most. The table compares all 10 firms on the facts each one publishes.
All 10 firms compared. Scores out of 10, facts as published on November 6, 2026.
Each firm was scored 0 to 5 on six criteria, weighted to a total of 100, using only information on its own website. We did not accept payment, samples or interviews in exchange for coverage.

What we looked for
CPA-firm fit
25%
Does the firm build its service around US CPA and EA practices: US tax season, 1040/1120/1065 work, review layers and firm software?
Security evidence
25%
Is there a named, checkable credential such as a SOC 2 Type II report or an ISO 27001 certificate, stated in plain text rather than as a badge?
Pricing transparency
15%
Does the firm publish a rate or price list, so you can compare before a sales call?
Bench depth
15%
How many trained staff can it draw on when your busy season peaks or someone leaves?
Engagement terms
10%
Trial periods, part-time options, replacement guarantees and how quickly a team starts.
Claim consistency
10%
Do the firm’s own pages agree with each other on headcount, client count, certifications and terms?
Security evidence and CPA-firm fit carry half the weight because a firm that cannot show controls, or does not understand US tax season, is not usable however cheap it is. Claim consistency is there for a practical reason: when a firm’s own pages give three different client counts, you need to confirm everything in writing. The full rules, including how we handle ties and updates, are on the methodology page.
What does each of the top 10 firms offer?
Here is each firm in ranked order, with its published facts, score breakdown, strengths, watch-outs and the one question we would ask first.

Minimum term is unclear: one page says 3 to 6 months, another says no long-term commitment
Ask them: Ask for the current SOC 2 Type II report, the ISO 27001 certificate with its version and expiry, and the minimum term in writing before you sign.
We looked at more firms than we ranked. These were left out because their public information did not show a clear service for US CPA firms when we checked.
AcoBloom International. Homepage is aimed at UK practices; US CPA-firm detail was thin when we checked.
Analytix Solutions. Woburn, MA based with 1,000+ staff, but no certifications or CPA-firm offer on the homepage.
Datamatics. Large listed company where accounting is a small segment.
If you run one of these firms and serve US CPA practices, send us your evidence through the methodology page and we will score you in the next update.
How much do offshore accounting firms charge?
Published hourly rates for dedicated offshore staff start between $10 and $15, and per-return prices start at $200 for an individual return. Only 2 of the 10 firms we ranked publish any price, so expect to request quotes.
Published prices only. Firms not listed here do not publish rates.

Two cautions. First, “starting at” means the lowest rate for the most junior person; seniors, reviewers and staff with US license credentials cost more. Second, check what the hourly rate includes. MYCPE ONE, for example, bills weekly on actual hours worked and says full-day overlap with your time zone adds about $1 to $1.50 an hour. To see what these rates mean for your budget, use the offshore accountant cost calculator.
How do you choose the right firm for your practice?
Choose in this order: model, security, fit, then price. A cheap firm that fails your security review costs you a season.
Decide the model. Dedicated staff (you direct a named person) or outsourced work (you send returns and get them back). Our offshore staffing guide compares both.
Ask for the security documents, not the badge. A current SOC 2 Type II report and an ISO 27001 certificate with an expiry date. Confirm staff work inside your systems through a locked-down virtual desktop.
Check US tax fit. Which forms has the proposed person prepared (1040, 1120, 1120-S, 1065)? Which software have they used? Ask for a short test return.
Agree the shift. Day-shift India teams give overnight turnaround; evening shifts give live overlap. Decide which your reviewers need.
Plan consent before the first file. Build the Section 7216 consent into your engagement letters before anything goes offshore.
Pilot outside busy season. Start in summer or early fall with one seat and a clear checklist, then scale before January.
What should you ask a firm before signing?
Ask for evidence on security, people and exit terms. These ten questions cover what firms rarely put on their websites.
Can we see your latest SOC 2 Type II report, and what period does it cover?
Is your ISO 27001 certificate current, which version, and when does it expire?
Will our staff work only inside our systems, with downloads, USB and printing blocked?
Who will do our work by name, and what US returns have they prepared?
What shift will they work in Eastern time, and how much overlap do we get?
What is the minimum term and notice period, in writing?
How fast do you replace someone who leaves, and is there a fee?
How do you support our Section 7216 consents and SSN masking?
What happens to our data at the end of the contract, and how is deletion confirmed?
Which US accounting firms of our size can we call as references?
Want this done for you? Tell us your roles, software and timing and we will send three matched firms with answers to these questions where the firm has provided them.
What else do CPA firms ask?
What is the best offshore accounting firm for a small CPA firm?
For a small firm that wants one or two dedicated people, MYCPE ONE scores highest in our ranking (9.2 out of 10) because it publishes an $11 starting rate, SOC 2 Type II and a replacement policy. If you want to test before committing, CapActix offers a free trial. If budget is the deciding factor, Meru Accounting publishes the most detailed price list.
How much do offshore accounting firms charge US CPA firms?
Where firms publish prices, dedicated staff start at $10 to $15 an hour. Meru Accounting lists bookkeepers from $10 and tax preparers from $11, and MYCPE ONE starts at $11. Per-return pricing also exists: Meru lists individual returns from $200 and business returns from $350. Eight of the ten firms we ranked do not publish prices at all.
Which offshore accounting firms have SOC 2 Type II?
Among the firms we ranked, MYCPE ONE, QX Accounting Services and CapActix name SOC 2 Type II (or Type 2) in plain text on their websites. Madras Accountancy says it is SOC 2 certified without naming the type, and Unison Globus shows a SOC 2 badge. Ask any firm for the report itself under NDA before you rely on a badge.
Is it safe to send client tax returns to India?
It can be, if you control access and follow the rules. Get each taxpayer’s signed Section 7216 consent first, mask Social Security numbers unless both firms keep adequate safeguards, and make sure staff work inside your own systems through a secure virtual desktop rather than downloading files. Check the provider’s SOC 2 Type II report for those controls.
What is the difference between offshore staffing and outsourcing?
With dedicated offshore staffing, a named person works only on your firm’s files, under your direction, often inside your software. With outsourcing, you send work to the provider and it decides who does it, usually priced per return or per task. Staffing gives more control; outsourcing needs less of your management time.
Do these firms pay Offshore Shortlist to be ranked?
No firm pays to appear or to change its position. Some firms may pay us a referral fee when a practice we introduce signs with them, and we disclose that on the page when it applies. Scores are calculated from published evidence using the weights on our methodology page.
