About Offshore Shortlist

An independent publication for US businesses hiring offshore, starting with tax and accounting.

Offshore Shortlist is an independent publication for US businesses that hire offshore staff or outsource work abroad. We rank providers on published evidence, explain the rules that apply, and build free tools for the decisions buyers actually face. Our first section, CPA Shortlist, covers offshore tax and accounting staff for US CPA and EA firms.

Why does Offshore Shortlist exist?

Because most “best offshore provider” lists are written by one of the providers on them, and they usually rank themselves first.

We give buyers a neutral place to compare providers on evidence: security credentials, published prices, contract terms, and whether a firm’s claims hold together across its own pages. We are not a staffing firm, a CPA firm or a law firm, and nothing on this site is tax, legal or financial advice.

Which industries do we cover?

Tax and accounting today, through CPA Shortlist. Medical billing and legal support are next, once each has a full scored ranking and the guides that go with it.

We add an industry only when we can score at least ten providers on the same published criteria. Our free tools work for every industry.

Who runs it?

Offshore Shortlist is edited by Aniket, a B2B marketing and research lead with an MBA from IIM Nagpur.

Research and drafting are done by the Offshore Shortlist Research Desk, using AI tools under editorial review. Every vendor fact links to its source and carries the date we checked it. Read how our content is made.

How does Offshore Shortlist make money?

From referral fees when a buyer we introduce signs with a provider, and in future from clearly labeled sponsorships. Neither changes a score.

Our disclosure policy lists every commercial relationship, and the methodology explains how rankings are calculated.

How can you reach us?
